I’m Associate Professor in American Studies at the University of Gdańsk, Poland. I’ve published work on contemporary North American fiction, narrative theory, and the philosophy of time, including “From ticks to tricks of time: narrative and temporal configuration of experience” (Phenomenology and Cognitive Sciences, 2019), Time and Vision Machines in Thomas Pynchon’s Novels (Lang, 2019), Time in Variance (Brill, 2021), co-edited with Paul Harris and Jo-Alyson Parker, Time and Measure, co-edited with Stephanie Nelson and Walter Schweidler (Brill, 2025). I’m a council member of International Society for the Study of Time (ISST). My current research focuses on exploring the relationship between time and modality in contemporary American literature and culture.
